Sudden Absence

I apologize profusely for my disappearance this past month and a half. Life has a way of kicking you when you least expect it. There were some issues with the roommate, nothing a little communication couldn't fix. Unfortunately, it was about 2 weeks before that happened so I didn't have access to the internet for a bit. Also, a huge change in my work schedule. More hours, yay! Unfortunately, it takes time to adjust to new hours and a heavier work load. I went from securing and reporting for one specific area, to all the projects run by the company that hired us. It's a promotion of sorts but once I settle in, could lead to free time for my writing.

All in all, I took a pretty hard kick in the pants that led to a pretty bad cold. I've been in bed since Friday morning, and no it isn't Corona. It's just the run of the mill cold caused by the silliest of things... stress paired with me having to spend 10 mins in the pouring down rain to calm down a misunderstanding, then all night in my wet uniform. You would think I would know after 2 years to take a spare uniform JIC. Nope, so yeah, cold kicking my ass.....

Good news is that I am well on my way back to 100% and can go back to work tonight. I won't feel wonderful and will probably not be in the best of moods but I will be there. Also, this break in routine and a new writing notebook fractured the brick wall called writer's block I've had for a year on my Twin Star series. I can finally finish book 2 and start book 3. It's still far from publication worthy but I'm also working on the revisions for book 1 and further fleshing it out for a better 3 dimensional feel.

I hope to be working on a new project soon that has been in my head since high school. I've done so much research on this book but never felt like I was ready to actually write it until a while ago when I did the writing prompt Nightmares. I finally feel like my skills and experience have prepared me for what will come in this book. I'm trying hard not to let this one distract me from what I already have on my plate. I feel like I need to get some of the current stuff out of the way before starting a new project.

Also, I hope to be getting back on point with the writing prompts Cameron Montague Taylor has been providing. Honestly, I haven't been on her sight to see what new prompts she has because of how busy I've been, however, I do plan to get back on track this week. Hopefully, I will have something posted in the next few days, then posting something on a weekly schedule. Thanks for sticking it out with me and please be patient. Schedules are difficult for a lot of people, and I definitely fall into this group. I know I'm impossible.... Anyway, I'm off to get ready for work and prepare for a night of shooing off drug dealers and trouble makers. Good luck to you guys, and I hope to see you in the next few days.
